Sometimes the Previews are better than the movie

This last thursday, I and geoup of friends decided to take a break from studying and other studious behaviors to go see the midnight premier of IronMan 2, starring Robert Downey Jr.. put it simply, the movie was exceptionally satifying. I loved almost every second of it, but after it was over, I wasnt very excited about the movie. What I was really pumped about were the handfull of coming attractions in the beginning..

One of the coming atractions was for Christopher Nolan's new film Inception.. I kind of take a bit of a time out now and explain who Chris Nolan is and how much I love him. Chris Nolan is the directer of Memento(If you havent seen it, watch it as soon as possible), Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. To put it shortly, I love him.. His newest fim, Inception, is set to be released July 16 of this year, I dont believe there are words in the tongues of men that can start to describe how excited I am(ask me about Inceotion and I will literally talk Forever). one of the coolest things about this movie is that everyone involed with it has been extreamely quite about the movies content. all the public basically has to go by arethe trailers. So, For Ironman 2, Nolan released a brand new trailer for Inception showing the people never before seen footage and even revieling a few plot points. To say the very least, it was awe-inspiring. I was in the theater and every ten seconds I would raise my hands and Shake with excitement and aticipation.. By the way, Here is a link to that trailer http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/inception/theatrical-trailer
Leaving the theater, even though the movie was really quite good, I felt nothing but excitement over getting to see Inception in a few months. I felt a little bad that I had just seen this great movie and a two and a half minute trailer was what I was excited about.. I guess sometimes the previws can be the best part.. -Vneck Biker

  1. I just watched the trailer, and (excuse my language) I am freaking excited.

  2. You know to be honest sometimes I think this happens a little bit to often. Now of course don't get me wrong this movie looks very enticing and I will more than likely be at the midnight showing of this feature film. Yet we (for instance) go to the movies to see one thing, and we end up getting more excited, enticed, thrilled, about something else that we weren't even planning on seeing. Now, could this be that this trailer was just that amazing or is it something else. Is it that we are simple minded Americans jumping from one thing that pops out to the next?

(by the way great trailer and havent seen ironman2 yet, but i am anxious.

  3. Well We cant disregard the people who are paid money to make the two and a half minute trailers we see before our movie want only have a small window to sell thier movie to us. The studios want the previews to be big ande exciting. Its the only way to entice the audience in such a small amount of time..

  4. Without a doubt I agree but its just that sometimes I feel that we as Americans are constantly just moving on to the next thing. We go to a movie and are more excited with the preview. We sit down to watch the super-bowl, forget who won the game but remember the commercials, we live in a world that just takes away from other things sometimes. I just feel like sometimes we should sit back and just do nothing or in this case go what we came for.

(and again by no way am I disagreeing with you completely right, just kinda taking this and going completely off with it)

  5. well. i have seen the Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight by Nolan. these movies are intense.. all the way through end of the movie.
trailer is one way to see the whole movie and it is for people to get interesting.
i will definitely watch the inception.

  6. I definitely agree that the previews are often better than the movie itself. That is the way it needs to be though for the entertainment business to thrive. People need to get out and see movies, and they wont do it if the movie looks stupid. Also, like Vneck Biker said, there are people whose job is to make movie trailers and they are very good at it.
